"Digital dexterity" is defined as a core human cognitive ability and social practice that can enhance any digital organisation's success.

In today's digital age this is a crucial apect of any organisation's human resource policy. Digital project managers should assess their needs against their company's digital dexterity, and create a strong strategy to attract the required diversity of skills.

The digital age is expanding into all areas of our lives, and it is not just those who work in IT that will need to be alert of this change. Access to the internet, in the UK, should considered as important as access to water or electricity and digital skills are entering all areas of work.

Cornell University defines digital literacy as ‘the ability to find, evaluate, utilize, share, and create content using information technologies and the Internet. By this definition, digital skills are any skills related to being digitally literate.
